Critter Catch is a fantasy/strategy game aimed to make you problem solve and adapt to situations under a time limit. The story begins with the player finding a box with a mysterious critter in it. As the hours pass the player notice’s more and more critters in the box and comes to the conclusion that these critters self multiply at a rapid rate. Inevitably, the critters escape the box and are now loose in the players home. Each room is a different level throughout the house and the goal is to catch all these critters before they multiply out of control and take over your home.

You as the player can move objects in the room to corral the critters back into the box as quickly as possible. While developing this App/mobile game I wanted to give it a very unique style in terms of the way the two main elements of the game looked. I wanted the rooms to have an illustrative look with little color variations in gray tones. On the opposite side, I wanted to give the critters an other worldly look to them to show that they don’t belong in the setting they are in. This is why I made them as vibrant and colorful as possible to add some duality to the look of the game.
